CUE CARD (WITH ANSWER) -YOUR FAVOURITE DRESS

YOUR FAVOURITE DRESS

CUE CARD
Describe your favourite dress.
What kind of clothes do you like to wear?-what fabrics  / and colours do you prefer?
What (or who) influences you in your choice of clothes?
Does the way of dressing influence your personality?

Well, with regards to the selection of dress I am extremely choosy and fastidious. I   have a unique vogue   for cool branded dress items and I am so proud that I am very good at taking my pick and ipso facto, no duplicates can take me for a ride.
You might wonder why I am so fussy about my selections. Certainly, it’s not to make any fashion statement as such. You see I do not have any affinity for skimpy, snazzy and flamboyant sorts.  On the other hand, to be frank, I am allergic to people wearing unbecoming dress.  As far as I am concerned,   elegance,   convenience and comfort matter.
Well, with regards to my favourite dress and its stuff. It is sari. As a matter of fact sari stands out in splendid isolation in the midst of many a fashion and consequently, is my all time favourite. I strongly believe that that there is something special about this long single piece of cloth of 5 I/2 to 6 meters.  I mean, compared to any other sorts of dress itI feel, gives a touch of elegance and moreover, it enhances my personality. The thing is, it makes a woman look more mature and elegant.

At the same time, Sari caters to   the glamour quotient and if properly dressed it doubles up both modern and traditional! Any girl look stunning in sari especially on her big day After all, youth’s flair for fashion existed since the time of yore and   youngsters largely, dress with panache . Why should I be an exception?
Besides, I like sari as it is a versatile garmentI mean, it varies in design, name and style. For examplewith regards to fabrics, there are saris made of Banaras silk, Kanchipuram silk, Synthetic silk etc. - They are used as party wears or bridal wears. There is a wide range of cotton saris like Bengal cotton, Poly cotton etc. Pre-plated or pre-stitched saris too are available in the market. With regards to its wearing style too sari strikes a unique not which other garments can’t claim. I mean, it is worn in different ways in different parts of the country. While a Gujarati wears a sari to the right hand side, the rest of the Indians wear it to the left. All these make it truly versatile.
Well, when it comes to my fabric and colour selection, I select colures that go well with my skin tone. That is why I select …(colour). Personally, I like Chiffon as I have an affinity for delicate, soft stuff.  Embroidered chiffon sari, in fact, is much in demand now. I prefer Kanchipuram silk saris too with wide borders.
Well, in terms of selection,  my mummy is my selector par excellence. She is endowed with, what we call a fashion acumen/ˈækjəmən/ I mean a special aptitude for selection. She is also well aware of all the different varieties of saris available and her preference goes perfectly in tune with mine.  That is all about my favourite dress.
